Meditate your Winter Blues Away with the Stress Management Expert

According to WebMD the winter holiday time is also a time of Seasonal Affective Disorder- the winter blues.  What it doesn’t say is that managing this stress is really easy.  Follow these simple techniques if “SAD” affects you:

1.  Go outside for 15 minutes in the morning.

2.  Exercise for half an hour each day.  Exercise is linked with a positive mental state.  It helps us manage stress!

3. Meditate each day.  Begin by breathing deeply, right in to your abdomen.  Let the stress and tension out.  Breathe in happiness and breathe out the winter blues.   Just let them go, you don’t need those feelings any more.

4.  Find five things to be happy about each day.  Write them down and talk about them!

5.  Eat healthy.  Avoid highly refined foods which cause lethargy.  Healthy eating is great for stress management!  Your mental state is linked to your physical state so take care of your physical body.  Eat right.

6.  Have fun in the holidays!  Serve someone, help someone.  Volunteer your time and help someone else in need.  You may realize that life is better than you thought!

Using these simple tips can help anyone manage stress and enjoy the holiday season.  Have a great life!

    Very good advice, Leo!

Half an hour of exercise would do a lot of people a whole lot of good… lowering blood pressure, increasing metabolism, and reducing the risk of many physical ailments.

    Thanks for this post!
